The MING 27.01 is an exercise in extreme reduction, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a 6.9mm profile. In watch retouching, a slim, monobloc case presents a unique challenge: there is no room to hide. Every transition between the polished surfaces and the hollowed "flying blade" lugs must remain surgically sharp.

The primary focus of this project was the highly reflective, ultra-thin bezel. Maintaining the integrity of such a mirror-like finish requires a delicate balance of contrast management. The workflow involved a surgical approach to micro-scratch removal while preserving the natural light fall-off that defines the watch's three-dimensional presence on the wrist.

To match MING’s second-generation design language, specific attention was paid to the "visual dissonance" within the layering of the dial. By enhancing the radial symmetry and the crispness of the markers, the retouching process deepens the dial's perspective, making a 7mm timepiece feel far more expansive.

The result is a high-fidelity representation of the 27.01—where the metal remains authentic, the textures stay sharp, and the watch looks exactly as it was intended: as a masterclass in reduction.
